I feel numb.
Why?
I don’t know.
It’s hard to question a dream that you’ve dreamt during the night.
Right?
You keep asking questions on whether it means something or not.
My numbness is like that.
Almost dream-like to the extent that reality feels slightly imaginative rather than the truth.
Every experience I feel in the real world doesn’t feel “real.”
In philosophy, we question our assumptions, and try to piece our premises and come to conclusions that fulfill our answers.
Or, at the very least, lead to more questions.
Questioning my numbness is an exercise I decided to do today, after speaking with my mother.
I feel numb when I’m outside.
Almost dream-like.
Seeing the skies, the sunshine, the people, the cars, the insects, the homes, the streets, everything.
It’s almost overwhelming and intoxicating to the eye and mind, that I listen to music to suffocate the stimuli that comes to me.
Yet, it is imperative to act normal.
So, I continue the act of normalcy.
To appease the people I love.
Life’s a numb dream.
That’ll only end when you wake up.
